The key points of our practice are as following:
1. Becoming a stockholder We do not operate as a strategy consultant who avoids management risks and tries to support corporate management simply by offering advice. We are not a restructuring fund or buyout firm that buys and sells corporations to gain a quick profit. When we support a corporation, we take on management risks by holding stocks, and we share the perspectives of management and employees.
2. Mid- to long-term commitment for a period of at least three years Just changing a corporation's "appearance" by holding stocks, replacing management, and reselling the business after only six months or a year make no difference from the task of land sharks. We know that our task of helping a corporation evolve will take at least three years. We are in favor of speed, but we know it is wiser to move slowly and steadily toward the goal.
3. On the front line of management Our task is not merely to provide management advice. Following the purchase of stocks, we go into the corporation, present our ideas, and work to achieve them. In other words, we stand on the front line with corporate executives in pursuit of "management evolution."
Working to help a corporation evolve is what differentiates us from restructuring funds or strategy consultants, which support and implement the revolution of existing management methods.
Our key: "Mid- to long-term commitment" × "Executive involvement with management"
